Is it a Lexus?

I was at the gas station when a lady in a RX300 pulled up. She started telling me how she regrets not getting the IS300 SportCross and that she didn't remember it looking that good. I'm politly tell her its not a Lexus its a Mazda, and she's starts going off telling me she knows her cars. I ask her to walk around the back of my car so that she could see that it was a Mazda. She apoligizes and then says Wow, I'm surprised Lexus does sue over stealing their design. I tell her she has it backwards, that Mazda had this car available in other markets for 2 years before Lexus came out with the SportCross. She muters under her breath Well its still not a Lexus and walks away. I guess you can't please everybody.

I believe that the same designer worked on both the Protege5 & the IS300. (I remember reading that somewhere...)

People argueing over design stealing are just morons personally. Today companys commonly share design teams, or they move to other companys. Such is the case here some of the same design team work on both cars. It is course expected then that they have some similar lines etc.

Gah.

Oh and if she "really" knows her Lexus cars then she should have easily been able to tell the P5 apart. It is close but not when your standing next to it.
Hood budge is different, likghts, rear quater panels etc.
But when going down the road they almost look the same at distance.

You should have said:
"Nice sportage. ...What?? ...No way. ...I know my Kias and that's a Sportage! *mutter, mutter*"

What a prissy b****. I mean, it's cool that she thought it was a Lexus, as some other threads have also mentioned similar stories confusing the two, but the fact that she fails to accept that our car is more original and better looking than the IS300 just shows that some people truly believe that you have to spend at least 35K to get any quality.

I'm sorry but women who drive Lexuses or Lexi (however you want to say it) fit into a well defined stereotype. Whether they are driving the suv, sedan, or sport coupe...they are all the same:

Snobby little bitches that don't know s***.

All I can say is that their marketing scheme works and I hate every person in their target market.

They cut you off on their way to their nail appointment, drive around the parking lot for hours trying to find the closest spot so everyone can see them get out of their car, and manage to ding the car next to them while opening the door because they were late. Then when they back out of the spot the almost run over a working mom and her kid because she was trying to drive without using her fingers (cause the nail polish has to dry you know)

...Now a woman that drives a Mercedes....has got class.

Yep... i hate seeing all the yuppity people, they seriously piss me off.

She messup with IS300 Sportcross and a P5 and she said that she know cars??!! hahaha

IS300 Sportcross doesn't look as good as sedan.
I prefer getting a new A4 wagon....Best looking in wagons

The funniest part about the whole thing was the guy filling up his beat up old van on the oppisite pump walks buy me to go pay and asks if I know her. I said no I never seen her before and he says not so quietly I think someone's dildo ran out of batteries. I'm sure she had to hear his comment.

What a b****.

I hate people like that. Tell her to go screw some small docile farm animals in the trunk of her RX300 with the turning radius of a mack truck!

You have to have some kinda attitude to ask someone what kind of car they are driving, then TELL them it is not what they think.

"s*** man, i thought I went to a mazda dealership when i bought this car. I mean I questioned the sales guy when he told me it was $35,000 but who would have known it was a Lexus? I guess I'm just an ignorant blue collar worker. You can't expect me to have enough education to know what KIND OF ******* CAR I DRIVE!!!!!!"

Education may cost money, but common sense is free. Its too bad the rich people in the world haven't figured this out.
