I bought a set of Koni FSD shocks that I got for $592 with free shipping. I'm tired of being beaten to death and I can notice it getting squirrelly on the highway now with 41,500 on the clock. Hopefully this is going to resolve a lot of my issues with the ride. I should be back on with a report, hopefully by the weekend. Stand by.

Well, after paying for a new LCA that the mechanic apparently destroyed and having the micro fiber on the door trashed with oil and other dirt, I can report that the FSDs are amazing. The ride is not firmer, as reported with some cars. It is perfect and eats bumps like it's nothing. The ride, and the car in general, has been totally transformed. Try them out.

More details after driving it tonight through the beat up streets of downtown.

First, it is transformed. It feels more like my mom's Odyssey than a Mazda 3 now. I don't really notice choppy road and already find myself not obsessed with avoiding bumps. I can hear joints in the road, but they are barely noticeable even through the steering wheel. I also notice that I don't hear the rear sway bar bushings hardly at all.

I do notice that certain types of bumps seem to cause a little sideways bump in the steering. Maybe it did that before and I just don't notice the vertical bump now. In general, the ride is just uneventful. I'm really pleased. These Konis have proven just how cheap the suspension really was from the factory. Count me in on the group that says the car should have driven like this from the factory.

I've read where some have said the bushings didn't fill the "ears" on the rear shock mounts and that washers were required. The bushings on my set were tight and no extra work was required to keep them tight at the mount. I think I read about this issue on 3's, but not sure.

Oh, and guess what, the rear seats don't shimmy on the highway now.

I got my set at THMotorsports. Paid $591 after digging up a 5% coupon. Shipping was free and fast from their shop near Chicago.

Whats included in the kit? Front struts and rear shocks?

For the rear, are you on stock sway bar, bushings, end-links and camber arms?

Yes, front and back are included. Stock sway bar, bushings, end links, and camber arms. All stock except shocks and struts. I do have a bump up in tire height though. 5 mm over stock if I remember correctly.

We rode on a really nasty road yesterday at a park where we take the dog and it was like night and day driving through there. The best way to describe it is that it feels like a much more substantial vehicle. Like a much heavier and solid ride, but with obviously no change in acceleration. It's sort of hard to describe, but generally it just points out how cheap and chintzy the OEM is.
