Hello everyone, I am very happy to find these forums, and even happier to be the proud owner of a new (well, pre-owned, but new to me!) Mazda6.
After 35 years on this planet, this former NYC girl has finally gotten her license and her caboose into a car (no more car services or buses or subways for errands - yay!)
Thrilled to finally have my first set of wheels, but after buying a GPS learned 2 days post-buying that the cigarette lighter doesn't work! Long story short, read the manual, it was a blown fuse, took the spare from under the hood, works fine now, but would want to replace that spare (just in case it's needed!)
I admit I know absolutely NOTHING (well other than fixing that fuse I guess!) about cars or being a car owner, so was hoping you would humor me to confirm if I'm right or wrong here.... (dunno)
To buy a fuse (15amp) to replace the spare - I'm seeing one that looks very similar from sears - but I don't want to buy the "wrong" thing (being a total noob) -

Does this look right to the experts here?? I don't want to get the wrong thing and end up screwing anything up - part of me is wary because it seems to be so cheap?!? Can this be right??? (help)
I tried google and 'searching' these forums, but i'm not seeming to find my answer anywhere else! (Probably waaay too dumbed-down of a query!) So I apologize for such a newbish post which likely has half of you rolling your eyes and the other half wanting to flame-the-girly-post (that being said, can I hide behind the fact I AM female to justify my car-dumbness? how about hiding behind the fact I am also blonde??? *blush*
Thank you anyone for helping yay or nay, I don't have really anyone else I could ask so I'm relying on a little kindness from strangers. I hope to learn a lot more lurking around here as time goes on, and maybe one day know enough to repay the kindness by helping any other newbies who stroll on in.
Thanks!!
