ive gotten a look or two, makes me feel like a Pimp with a capitol P. as for blastin music, there is no need to get all up in someones s***, so he likes to blast music, so do i, so do lots of people. there is no need to get all pissed about it. come on guys Profitz is from jersey anyways, so who gives a rats ass? im gonna blast music with the windows down untill the day it hurts my hearing aids.

I blast my music all the time. Mind you, I do listen to quite the variety of music and I only really advertise my top 40 and hiphop side to the public.

I turn down my music at lights sometimes to ease off my alternator. I also turn it down in residential. I enjoy my driving, but not at anyone else's expense.

I had a guy in a mid 90's Camaro SS talk to me at a stop light because he loved the way the car look and he wanted to know what I thought about it. I also have friends that car considering buying one because they love the car every time the get into mine. You wont get those kinds of reaction in a stock Civic will you!!

I don't think there's anything wrong with blasting music at stoplights. Like myself, I'm sure most of the people enjoy listening to loud music. I do it for myself, not anyone around me. Anyway, ever been stopped next to a diesel pickup at a stoplight? No one calls that unbelievably loud and obnoxious exhaust disrespectful.

To keep it on topic, I dig the rubberneckers! It was especially gratifying when I found my boss (who drives a Crapalier haha) admiring it in the parking lot!

Ok this past weekend I was taking my mother out for mothers day. I'm double parked, and this guy comes out of nowhere and asked if this was the "Mazda Matrix". I wanted to laugh my ass off; however, my wife did in the car. I said hell no this is the Mazda Protege5, and that was the end of our conversation.

Another time it was when my wife and I was driving around the Bronx. It was some kid in a Honda Accord, and he actually turned all the way around to get a look at the Protege5. We couldn't stop laughing in the car.

I love the attention the car gets.

I really don't get much attention here in San Diego. But I see at least 4-5 a day. Most aren't modded at all. I have only actually seen one modded and it was only lowered with tint.

Mine is bone stock for right now as well. Maybe after we move to AZ and buy a house...

got one of those today, hooked up civic looked at me mouth wide open. LOL then he followed me to the audio store and asked me what it was i was driving. and if it came stock that way. I am completely suprised by how many ppl have never heard of it. I know they didn't really advertise on tv, but if your into hooking up car's u'd prolly more than likely have heard about it.

You miss my point. Freedom without responsibility is anarchy. That is why we have laws. Laws by their nature restrict your freedoms. And at least in Cali that includes playing your stereo too loud. How loud is too loud? 50ft. If the cop can hear it 50ft away say hello to a moving violation. So in my neck of the woods you would be free to play any music you want as loud as you want, but that freedom isn't without consiquence.

see few p5"s in my area and fewer hooked up. did have another p5 go by me yesterday and he screamed at me like "heyyyyy!" i guess he was amazed as i was another car modded out like his. that's what i love about this car...not many around which makes it unique. i hate having a car that everyone else has. joe

I rarely even see Protege Sedans near me (I call them my little sisters when I see them, and of course the MSP is big brother) but I'm not complaining.

I have not once seen another Laser Blue. When I bought mine, there were only like 10 (Laser Blues) in the New England Area for me to choose from, none at my dealer.

It would be a very unique car if there weren't so many blue WRXes driving around. Does anyone else get annoyed when people think your car is a subaru? It happens alot to me and when I correct them the next thing out of their mouth is always "is it all-wheel-drive?" to which I have to reply, no but I get 31mpg because I don't have it and if I can drive a Grand Marquis in a snow storm, I sure as hell can drive this puddle jumper.
