Digital Camera found.. freaked me out. 56k warning

Not only is there the creepy eyes to the left (that definately look photochopped) but there is a little creature hanging at the top of the tree.

"I found a digital camera in the woods"

IFoundACamera_eyes_small.jpg
"I found a digital camera in the woods" posts a series of digital images, purportedly found in an abandoned camera, to a web forum in order to sketch an eerie story of walking in the woods. Some of the pictures are quite striking, and the minimalist approach to fright is nicely done.
It's a 3.3 mpixel Powershot S20! Slightly scuffed, but otherwise fine. It rained the next day, so I was really lucky to get there when I did. When I got home, I also saw it had a 300 mb hard drive inside! This must be like a 250 value folks, I pity the fool who dropped it so carelessly. Anyway, just wanted to share. It also had some nice pictures on it, and I'm putting those up in this thread, hence the 56k warning. Not sure why some of them are blurred...

This makes for a nice comparison with the blog as storytelling application idea, as both approaches rely on sequential publishing for effect. "I found a digital camera" is, obviously, more image-driven (suggesting "La Jetee").

Definitely in the horror hoax/documentary Gothic tradition, a la Blair Witch, The Last Broadcast. There's also the science fiction hoax, like Poe's balloon story, and the horror-sf hybrid War of the Worlds radio broadcast.

Plus I don't think a 1999 http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/canon/powershotS20-review/
model 3.3 camera could of even taken those shots or have contained a 330meg (what kind of ****** non standard size is that?) Compact flash card.

I can't believe you lied. On a message board too. That's the first time that has ever happened.:p

Whoa...look at like the 32nd picture down. At the top, there is a reflection of a man standing...and its not the photographer....thats freaky man.

Maybe the pics are blurry because the focker fell down a cliff, hence, you found the camera with the pics. Can you say Blair Witch Project???

First time ive seen this, and I thought it was pretty cool, although it seems like everytime someone posted a (qouted picture) it was too show off their photoshopping skill, considering they included new things that werent in the original.

Damn, I gotta learn to chop.

soo...can we get some closure on this? it ain't yours..so was it a joke? were you serious? you had to of known better to say so you found this..especially on this forum..where tweakers roam the boards all hours of the night cross-checking every word posted to expose things..so they can flame them and make themselves feel better..but hey! its all in good fun.
