Corksport cold air intake

It's an intake, they're all pretty much the same and comparable. So yes, it's good.

As a general rule though, anything made by Corksport = great stuff

Right on. I kinda figured that. Plus, I figured i'd just swap the filter out for a K&N anyways. The corksports just the cheapest intake i've found

Air reason you would not want to use the AEM dryflow filter the intake comes with?

stick with the dryflow. Anytime you clean the K&N, you will have to re-oil the filter. You won't have to do that with the AEM. Just saying, it's not a big deal though

No reason, other than i just figured the K&N filter itself might be a bit better, since they're generally considered "best." I dont know anything about AEM filters...

K&N are certainly the most popular aftermarket filter, but I wouldn't say they're the best. I think most people would consider A'PEXi filter to be "the best", with AEM coming in second and K&N in third. But in the end I think it all comes down to price, they're all good so it's a matter of finding one that you think is affordable. But since the CS intake comes with an AEM dryflow, jut keep that and don't bother "upgrading".

And it really comes down to do you want to clean or clean and reoil. I've cleaned my Injen filter twice since putting it on in 2003. If you have a filter that needs to be reoiled, just don't go crazy when doing so and make sure it dries before putting it back on to ensure MAF longevity.

Ok, thanks for thr input. I'll just leave it. However, I do have the desire to put a bypass filter on it, to avoid hydro locking. AEM sells one, but it says to not use on force-induced engines. Anyone know why/one that is good to use, or is that statement something that can be disregarded?

You aren't going to hydro lock it. Don't remove or alter the splash shield and avoid going boating with your MSP. I driven in hurricanes, torrential downpours and everything else that gets thrown at you in Florida without a hydroshield. Never had one issue at all.

Just so everyone knows. K&N owns AEM so the dry flow filters that K&N sells are the same ones AEM sells.
