Considering Buying a 5

Hey Everyone-

I currently own a 2008 Honda Fit Sport, that has quite a few bolt on mods (I/H/E, Mugen short shifter, T1R struts, Swift Springs, Progress RSB,etc.) and JDM accessories. I am looking to upgrade to a slightly larger car and I just checked out a 2007 Touring MT.

My questions are, what is the aftermarket like? What parts from a Mazda 3 or Mazdaspeed 3 are direct bolt-ons? (swaybars, exhaust, etc) Other than springs and a short shifter, I haven't found any 5 specific parts. I would probably just install a quiet axleback, a short shifter, maybe a couple other things.

I need a little while to bring my car back to stock so that I can sell it, but I am definitely leaning towards a 5. Any feedback is very much appreciated!

There is a short shifter plate available for the 5, struts/shocks, lowering springs and coilovers for the 3 (not MS3) are compatible with the 5, apparently the MS3's RSB works great on the 5 or you can go aftermarket there. I'm not sure about intake/header/exhaust though, the engine bay is really cramped. The best mod would be to find a wrecked MS3 and transfer its guts to the 5.
