Check Oil light

Have a 2003 Protege 5 and today the check oil light came on. The oil is okay and the car runs fine so I suspect it's a bogus light. I did wash the car yesterday. Any thoughts or ideas?

Thanks.

if your oil pressure light came on, something is major wrong. re check the oil level ASAP!!

the oil pressure light only comes on if you have like less than 5psi of pressure...

OIL LIGHT IS BAD, make sure the car has enough oil. If the car has the right amount of

oil then take it to the dealer.

Not the OIL PRESSURE light, but the yellow check oil light.

What are you driving... A P5? I have never seen the light you are talking of and I have had mine apart alot...

i think he means the check engine light.

go by autozone or advance auto and they can read your check engine light and tell you the problem

If it is the check engine... and it starts to blink, get the car TOWED as that is a major problem.

If you actually used water directly on your engine...

1. You are Dumb, that is not a submarine... It's a Car
2. Hopefully this will dry out but you might have to help by disconnecting all sensors and drying the connectors with a hair dryer.

The mazda manual is $120 @ stealership cost..
so none of the lights in my pic were the one you were talking about?

no need to "search for it" its on the back of the block to the driver's side of the oil filter.

the oil pressure sender has 1 wire, not the other sensor there, thats the knock sensor.

yes i seen that, i can't even think of any other light that it could be. the only other one that stands out in my mind is the battery, and seatbelt.

and do not ask if i have any ideas or thoughts and then as i start throwing them out you call me a idiot. part of troubleshooting is thinking of all possible causes.
