Cell Phone mount for the 5

I looked at cell mounts for the vent and window but with power and speaker wires to deal with I wanted something close to the ports in the 5.

Using the slot located just above the AUX and DC input ports I quickly fabbed up a holder for my cell. I used perforated aluminum and modded my case so it still holds the phone, basically, just made it easier to remove. The extra wire can still hide behind the phone (not shown). The holder is not permanent but, won't slide out easily.

I just didn't like blocking vents or having something on the windshield so I made my own

pretty cool!
I use that cubby for my electronic toll payer and bluetooth earpiece, but good idea for a phone mount.

Thanks for the link - I found one for $22 shipped. I'm probably going to use it for my UltraGauge, GPS, and Radar Detector.

I have my GPS in the same location, but using the trustly old suction cup mount with a plastic disc stuck on the dash. Good enough for me, but it's the cord that's bugging me. Hate have a dangling cord, and I haven't found a good route to pull a wire up there yet.
