Auto Exe Air Intake

im looking to buy an intake for my car but im not sure wich one. I was really looking at the Auto Exe one but i would like to know how it sounds, performs, etc. Could some one that knows these things please give me some feed back.

i suggest injen cai or aem sri. injen is bout 240 while aem is bout 150. if thats still too expensive for ya make it or check ebay.

thats the thing i can get one for around 300 but im wondering if i sould. are the gains as good as the aem or injen

Damn $900 is a good chunk of a turbo! That autoexe intake is a very nice setup though.

ive got a chance at a exe intake for about 300 but r they really better then aem's for 200

id rather get injen/aem. it comes with hardpipes at least for better and constant airflow. if u buy the autoexe, ure basically paying for the name and a cf box. u can get an hks filter for cheaper and build your own box. i say get the aem or injen.

cuz the other prob that im running in to is the fact that aem's cai doesnt work with the atx version of the mz3. so thats y im looking at the exe

if yer goin total jdm and show i guess its worth it. but if yer not doin either of the 2 yer basically payin $300 for sound. if u dont have a complete exhaust system/intake system its a waste of money. u can juss find copies of the autoexe or injen ones on ebay. are ebay ones reliable? dunno but search around the forum. ppl have bought ebay ones for the p5 and they say its good. chances are that someone in this forum has bought one for yer car too. if not start a new post.

well ive already got a cat back exhaust and ive been trying to get an intake but found out that they have probs with the automatic version of the car so i started looking and found the exe intake, so i was wondering if it would work and if i would see any preformance gains

gains=very slim. the car's gonna have a tad bit better idle and response and yer engine gonna make sound. all in all...thats bout it.

doesnt matter the brand. u get the same gains even with ebay ones. its juss bout intakes in general. it juss doesnt do much. in order to get the full potential u need the full exhaust/intake setup (ex throttle body, no cats, header, etc). in fact with aftermarket intakes u lose a little low-end torque. its juss like yer payin almost for the sound.

damn now i really feel better about paying 275 for my Auto Exe. i thought it was a little much compared to 190 for an AEM or Injen
