I just bought a 2017 CX-5 in July, 2017. The dealership told me that Apple CarPlay should be coming in "the Fall" of 2017....

I bought my CX-5 a couple of weeks ago. My dealer said "Fall to end of the year". Hah! Mazda is well known for missing their promise dates < rolls eyes > But whenever it arrives, it will seem like Christmastime

I see that a zombie thread has been brought back to life!

My first CarPlay-equipped vehicle is a '17 Civic Si.
It's ok, and I'd like to have it in my new CX-5 and MX-5 RF, but the current infotainment system can utilize phone apps to do everything but provide a visual display.
My conveniently-mounted phone provides the visuals.

Bottom line for me ... nice to have but no big deal if it isn't made available.
