aem sri misfire

Has anyone experienced misfires after installing the aem short ram intake?

Also, if I were wanting to put a breather filter on the valve cover and eliminate the Ventilation hose, is there a good way to cap off the hole on the intake? Or is it best to get a new fitting connecting the throttle body to MAF..?
