2003.5 Mazdas in stock in my area

today a yellow 2003.5 came into my dealer ship and t3ase and i went up there to check it out, the rims are not that much diffrent in color for thoes who are wondering and the seats/shifter/pedals/wing/rear bumper/front facia/gauges and shift boot are all diffrent
another thing we noticed is that it is $800 more and the hood weighs twice as much we almost dropped it lol /shrug just letting ya all know that they are shipping soon

I'm not diggin' the wing on the 2003.5 the more I think about it. It seemed to shake when the trunk was closed and just didn't fit the aggressive look that I think a MSP tries for. The front lip looks nice, very nice. *shrug*

Oh, and the shift knob looks nice but it's a bit bigger, so it didn't fit my hand comfortably like the current Sparco one does.

Overall, I'm VERY glad I have the 2003 version. The 2003.5 just doesn't cut it for me except for a few bits and pieces (front lip & gauge needle).

The hood problem can easily be cured by buying a CF or Fiber Glass hood.

I wish they'd hurry up and show up here...everytime I pass a dealership and see a yellow 6, I think it might be the '03.5, but not to be...at least not yet.

I Have done alot of looking around on the net at the 03.5. I have to say I am very happy that I have the 03. I honestly think it will be worth more in resale too. Simply because it has all of the after market brand names on it like sparco and racing beat. That is one of the things that drew me to the car. And I hate the fact that the 03.5 doesn't have fog/driving lights.

How are the seats different? I thought they just used a different color stiicing on them.

the only ones that have a chance in having a higher resale are the orange cars, and that's because of the paint. Considering the resale of the mp3, I wouldn't hold my breath that the speed is going to be much better. Sparco peddles vs mazdaspeed peddles don't mean nutin, might be 250 bucks....whoppie. The front lip on the 2003.5's is going to be worth more then that alone, but then you gotta factor in taking out the fogs, so it's all even anywho.

2-3 yrs from now, the orange "might" sell for a grand more then a yellow/grey if they are identical in shape. But, 2-3 yrs from now, is orange going to be a "nice" color still....that remains to be seen. The fact that it's orange could actualy hurt resale as well because not everyone wants an orange car, that's evident already.

if they release the blue, with more pearl/metallic in it then the mp3, I'm thinking that's going to be the car most will want.

what was the resale on the mp3 like?
Odd colored cars don't sell to well down here.
Most of the dealerships have had a majority of the black mazdaspeeds.
The one and only orange that my dealership had is still sitting there after selling numerous blacks.
But I agree the blue is going to be nice!
But I am serious about the resale value. I think it wiil be more than most expect. The first line of a limited production performace vehicle always does better than the others. For one stupid reason; because it is the original.
I mean god look at the stupid ford svt line, Lightnings sell for almost orginal msrp even when they are 3 years old.
It will just take time for us to find out.
P.S. I don not hold the mp3 (though it is a great car) in the same grouping as the mazdaspeed

Yellow stitching and the "grid" pattern is different in the middle part of the seat. It's not "meshy" looking anymore, it's just a square grid. Very blah, IMO.

lol tease u like the front facia, are you nuts the 03.5's look like safty life rafts LOL, that front facia is ugly as sin, the new peddles and s*** are ugly. the wing isn't that bad, but still not my taste. i dont think these are going to sell. it'll be hard for dealerships to get rid of them in my opinion if anyone has the same taste as me.
