ZJ, Z6, LF...what engine?

Hey fellas, I just happened across a copy of the Mz3 shop manual, and I was curious- what engine is the ZJ or Z6, and which is the LF? I assume one is the 2.0L and the other is the 2.3L, but I don't know which is which. The oil capacities for the 2.0 and 2.3 are the same as specified for LF, so do both engines fall under that designation? Sorry if this is an oft-answered question, I don't make it over here that much. Thanks!

From what I've read, the '04~'09 generations of engines are all MZR's.
Within that family designation, they break down as follows:
2.0 litre: LF-DE, LF-VE
2.3 litre: L3-DE, L3-VE
2.3 Turbo: L3-VDT

The Z6 is a 1.6L MZR and the ZJ is a 1.3L MZR.

Hmm...so is the 2.3 not listed in this manual then? I assume the 2.0 and the 2.3 share a lot of similar architecture, so most of the stuff described for the 2.0 in the manual would apply to the 2.3 as well.

Yes, it's my understanding that the 2.3 is physically just a stroked version of the 2.0. That's why all of the aftermarket intakes and exhausts will work with both engines.

So is there a manual with info specific to the L3? I need the PCM/ECU wiring info. I have unclear copies of pages from Mazda, and the letters are so dang small they're hard to read. I acquired what I believe to be the same manual, but it doesn't seem to help if there's only info for the LF, ZJ and Z6.
