I tried a search with zero luck, any of you guys have your z919 skip easily at every little bump? The mp3s do not skip just regualr cd's, I cleaned it and no luck and I tried like 10 cd's and they all skip?

Thanks (protest)

yea actually mine has been doing that too recently...it could be all the huge potholes on the roads but my mp3 cd's are skipping too...neone have any answers?

i have the same problem every little bump i hit the cd tends to skip. boy is it annoying.

Mine does it as well. It didn't do it when I first bought the car, but does so more now. I think it is because the Z919 is that great and is getting older and tired now.

I noticed it start happening on non-MP3 CDs when it got cold out. If I leave my car out at work, it skips like a crazy MOFO until the car is really warmed up. If I leave from home in the morning from my apartment's garage, it doesn't. I imagine the spring/anti-shock mechanism is stiff in the cold.

Before I got rid of my MP3 two weeks ago, I was on my third head unit, and that one was still skipping.

Na, just buy a better deck when your current finally dies. That's my plan.

Although, I do want to stick with Kenwood. Call me a softy, but I'd like to stick with the sprirt of the car...

Well, on second though, I did already change the suspension drastically, so maybe I'll just go with something completely different. (crazy)

i had a bunch of problems with my Z919, including it skipping a lot. my dealer eventually gave me the z828 that came with some of the mp3's

Mine was.. I told the dealership that it was also scratching the CD's and they just replaced it, no questions asked

yeah I was looking into alpine, but I woulf like to keep the kenwood spirit alive in my car so I better start looking now
