Your opinion on Konig Unkowns?

Thanks for all the input guys. I did not get these rims. The offset was just too much. Now I'm looking into Motgegi MR-7s

Those wheels look so much better than your first choice lol. I would get them in a bronze or gold if they offer it (but thats just me)

Well I got a great deal on craigs, they are gun metal, 1 rim is brand new, 2 have very light damage, and 1 has a small amount of road rash with a decent pair of rubber for 200$

Holy hell thats an awesome deal lol. I would have done the same thing.. and gun metal is still a nice color :) Post some pics when you get a chance

Yeah only problem is the guy doesnt know the off set on the rims. And all the mr 7's I have looked at online have like 35mm offset.

They were cool when they first came out.
Now, they're played out and just don't look as good when put on actual cars.
My opinion anyway.

honestly i was gonna go this route to.. i owned a mz3 that was black before i totaled the poor things and i wanted to get these rims to... i say do it and powdercoat..

I'm having a hell of a time finding rims! If I actually find a 5x114.3 rim I like, the offset usually doesnt fit. And if it fits, the tires usually sold. lol. I just found some nice motegi's I like. But idk about the offset. What ya think? http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/pts/2474601482.html

Those are 40+ offset, fml...

I think +40 will work. Remember wheel width plays into the whole fitment game. Research the wheel as much as you can. Hell if you have the scratch, buy them and just see if they will work. If they don't sell them for what you got in them.
That is a decent looking wheel IMO. Lots of potential to do custom paint.

Yeah, the seller could at least post the width, if not the offset?
Dumbass.

Not bad looking wheels though. They would be fine, imo.

I think you can find better ones. IMO the konig would look good as well. I got ADR 18's on mine that are black an chrome an I love them, but its really up to what you like

Yeah im not that big on chrome. Im more of a flat black/ bronze guy. I'm still looking lol

Edit: Just found these rims, what ya think? http://cleveland.craigslist.org/pts/2438410232.html
I emailed them and the lady said the bolt pattern was 5x115? Is that possible? Or is it the same as 114.3?
She also said the offset was 34-45. Explain? Thanks for all the help guys!

Also found this: http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/pts/2482219774.html
Only problem: He said he thinks the offset is 35 and with is 17x9

Nope. Offsets are too low and wheels are too wide.
The second ad says 17x7's and +40? The width is right but the offset may be a little low w/o rubbing.
Stay w/a 7.5" wheel and an offset of no less than +45 and you should be good to go. 225/45-17's are a comfortable size tire though. The perfect plus zero.
I'm running 225/45's on 7" wheels, but my offset is +50.

Like bb said the second set you have a link for are most likely not going to work due to the offset. The first set however should. I believe that most aftermarket wheels that are made with the dual bolt pattern are 5x100 and 5x114.3 as they are the most popular bolt patterns. Unless the car that the second set came off of had a staggered set-up ,which is doubtful. Because it is not the most popular thing to do. Besides an 11mm difference front and rear just sounds odd to me. I would ask the seller to look at the inside of the wheels, all the info is usually cast right into them (diameter, width, offset, bolt pattern). For that matter ask what they were used on and research from that. To be honest I like the first set better anyway.

Well the owner of the 2nd add has a car lift so I think I'm going to just go and try the wheels on. If I don't plan on doing any suspension mods whatsoever the 2nd rims shld be okay, right? I personally like the 2nd wheels alot

The second set (the ones in Pburg) are nice. +40 with no suspension mods should work, for some reason I thought the off set on those was +35. Haha! Pburg is not too far from you, go ahead and run over there and try them on. Make sure to drive with the wheels on so that the suspension can settle. I am running +42 offset without an issue (Iam slightly lower than stock 1/2"-3/4") so what would another 2mm do? Oh ya I googled the first set and it is possible that they could be a 5x100/5x115 bolt pattern, they are also +40 offset. I think the first set is a better deal if the tires are good. Does the other set come with tires? I will do more research!

Okay, now what I have found about these wheels is this: Motegi mr4 is a 17x7+40 5x100/5x114.3 @25.5lbs
Eagle alloy series193 is 17x7+40 5x100/5x115 or 5x100/5x114.3 @21lbs. I did not see any other offsets available, but that doesn't mean they were not made.

Now the only other issue that may arrise is the hub bore, I could not find that in my search.
