Your opinion on a potential purchase wanted

Ok all, I found this Protege5 locally, and wanted your learned opinions.

Not too bad... It's the auto w/ the sport shift, which is what I own. Takes the boredom out of driving an auto a little bit. I had just missed out on one with a MT, but I needed to get into something better than what I was previously driving so I compromised and got one just like the one you're looking at. I love mine, but if I had the chance to buy or trade straight up for a MT, I would.

Looks good. Price is a bit steep, though, you can get a Mazda 3 hatchy for a little more. Maybe $6-6.5k is right?

If it had leather, side airbags and a sunroof that price would be decent, but I would agree that $6500 is more fair.

If everything is sound and you can work it down by at least $500-1000, it would be worth it. If you have time to keep looking, wait for a 5spd. You won't regret it.

Perhaps a 3i with 200k, but no issue I swung by the dealer and found out why they had not returned my calls.... car sold. Ill keep looking tho, thanks again for the input.

maybe someone posting this is thinknig on selling his p5 with 5 spd, leather sunroof, and a fun little mods list

oh, and a new motor with 68k on the rest of the car
