Hello. Is there any Speed 3 or Speed 6 owners in York County? Is there any 3 or 6 owners in York County?

I am trying to get a Mazda Meet organized, but I rarely see anyone from the area on this forum. This would be open to any Mazda owners.

i would be down, i grew up in york and still have buddies there.... i'm sure Rush would make the drive too, she's in lancaster and i bet she could really help getting something organized!

If you want to meet pick a date. I am out of town from 9/13 - 9/27 but am open to dates after that. Where would you want to meet? I dont know too many places because I am new to the area.

I would need some help putting this together. I need help with finding a good location.

if you make a meet ill try to get justinlansdale and Protege_kid to come along with me. Oh theres also Biz.

good location, Sonic, which one? any of them..

& I havent saw Cindy on here in awhile, where is that girl! Lol

Only Sonic I know of around here is the one where a regular meet already happens on Thursday nights, in Lancaster on Route 30 by the Tanger Outlets.

I don't know York very well at all to suggest a place for a meet .. I only drive through, for the most part. And the only places I can think of that have 'large' parking lots are the Galleria -- which I'm sure we'd get kicked out of in no time, if their mall security people are typical mall security people -- and the lot that links that PetSmart with all those other stores. I can't even remember what other stores are in that 'strip', since I've only stopped at PetSmart!

But depending on my schedule (between work and classes, it can get pretty tight) and what day we decide to meet, I'd be down. :)

What is everyone looking to do? Just park the cars and talk there? Or do you want to look at the cars then go eat some place? Near the Mall there is a new shopping center has a good bit of parking, and many places near by to eat if we wanted. If you live in york I am talking about the shopping center with the new Best Buy, 5 Guys Burgers, and the and some sit down resturant. How many cars do you think would show? I dont think we need a giant parking lot.

parking at the petsmart/old country buffet parking lot is a BAAAAAD idea. not bashing anyone for suggesting it but there was a HUGE "bust" on all the kids hanging out there and racing up and down 30 all night. maybe we could get something going in the Kohls lot behind the galleria, or possibly somewhere in west york. figures, i was just there this weekend and didn't think to tell anyone or look for good places to have this, lol.

some reference videos.... ahhh, the good ol' days, cruisin the circuit in york!!!

Look at the cars, get to know each other, and then for the ones that want to go, get lunch. Depending on the amount of people that want to show up, I will start calling local businesses to get their permission to use their parking lots. Of course it will be on their terms. When I use to set these meets up in Maryland, I had a few basic rules. No racing. Don't drive like an ass. Respect whoever's property we are on. If you are going to act like an ass, don't show up.

Another option is to see if a local restaurant will let us have a meet there. This idea worked well for me in the pass. I will post more information as I get results.

Let me know if you need any help, I will help if I can.

Update.

I have yet to find a business with a parking lot big enough to hold a meet that is willing to work with me. The one that said yes, wants money.

If you're willing to drive up to Harrisburg, Brother's Pizza is a good spot. The owners are car guys (350Z, M3) so they stay open late and hang out in the parking lot with us.

I might set something up here in Lancaster for the locals the week of 9/27. Food then photos or photos then food/beer/lap dances.

If anyone is bored Saturday morning (9/20), a 10-15 of the car guys/gals are going to Shady Maple for their breakfast buffet.

FYI there is a sunday meet at the sonic in browstown (rt30 to 222n) that i am at most weeks.

Oh, and damn you got rice!

^ Rush only comes out when the Sun is 42.5 degrees over the Tropic of Cancer and there is a 33 mph southeasterly wind, or once every 2.3 years.
