Yellow OR Blue P5

2002VIVIDYELLOW, do you regret your choice, if so what would you choose, (I think I may be able to but the car tonight).

Todd

Well the yellow gets tons of looks. But I'm rather a clean car freak & just driving down the road leaves this road dirt all over the lower body panels which everytime you get in & out of the car your pants rub turning this area black. The rear bumper gets rather nasty with just a few drops of rain..but oh well its life i guess.

My other choice would be the blue protege 5 but the dealer only had white, black, silver & my yellow one the day i bought it.

Its funny,

I am such a clean freak as well...Being in the middle of a drought in Jersey sucks, cause I can't give a quick wash whenever I get home!

But in my own opinion, I don't regret a thing. I'd rather take my yellow with some dirt than a clean blue P5. Don't think im trashing the BLUE...It's just that I love my yellow soooo much!

Blue would be my #2 Choice...but thats just me!

I am still waiting on my Yellow baby!!!!

Hi Everyone

I just registered to this forum and saw this colour question. Hmmm, I guess it is all academic for me as I got yellow. No question. I see several other cars in yellow (Ford for one) but those yellows are not as vibrant as Mazda's.

My P5 is still at the dealership getting the last set of options installed and I should have it tomorrow. I can hardly wait. The leather seats took the longest but when I spoke to the salesman he said that the kit had to come in from the US (I live in Alberta, Canada).

A family friend bought a blue P5 a couple of weeks ago and that still did not sway me from my choice of Yellow.

Cheers
Chris

ford's yellows are much more faded and are not so "vivid"
ford needs to go back to chrome yellow and canary yellow on the mustang and the focus. actually you can't go wrong with either color b/c the car is awesome. i just finished watching touring cars race on speedvision. AWESOME. 3-4 mp3s and 1 yellow protege5 racing. Foo (Driver) of the 5 was doing good until the end when something happened and he dropped a lap. 2 mp3's also dropped out with tranny trouble. but so much fun. its great to see your car compete with the likes of MB and BMW.

Unbelievably Blue

I can't believe the number of people who have gone through the same torment as me. My wife and I just bought a P5 and our big dillema was "Blue or Yellow" also.

I have to say my choice was Blue and the reasons are basically the same as everyone else here, suffice to say that if we ever were to sell it I believe it would be easier to sell in blue. But still, it was the yellow that I fell in love with when I first saw it a year ago.

An interesting note touched upon previously was price. My dealer freely admitted (after the sale) that we would not have got a price break on the yellow because it was in such high demand. All other colours they had stock in and were willing to deal.

Enjoy all.

Its me again, I did buy the Yellow on Tuesday. Im just waiting for it to arrive (might be as early as today). The yellow choice was thanks to a lot of post on the forum. I fell in love with yelow first too. I was afraid I might get sick of it but it seems all the Yellow P5 owners still love there cars. Anyways, just thought I would keep everyone updated.

Thanks again.

Todd (Yellow P5 owner, I just have not seen it yet) :)
