It's been dynoed. And no, the cone loses power.arlsmazdaspeed said:i know the cone filter does.. it sounds alot better, and i think it performs alot better too!
You think it's performing better because of the louder & better sound. But it's all in your headarlsmazdaspeed said:i know the cone filter does.. it sounds alot better, and i think it performs alot better too!
The only reason it bogs down is because the fan is blowing hot air directly on to it. Get a little creative and you can solve that problem.. It may not look as professional as an Injen setup but makin this cost me absolutely nothing other than the cost of the filter and I help the car breathe a bit better.Rich24km said:panel filter makes a little deeper engine noise, and also has the sucking sound more. The cone filter definately doesn't help at all. I had one and it felt like it was bogging my car down horribly. You could floor it and it would make it hesitate 10 times worse than before "ecu flash"

t3ase- where did you put the sensor that plugs into the airbox. or can you leave it unluged?

Yeah, I'm sure I'm losing some power with it even with that placement but it's nowhere near what it would have been without the extension... The sound of an open filter just seems better to me.Dr.Sound said:dunno tease, still hot as **** there.......
