You have XXRs too adam haha. I don't like wats enough to pay the price, these arn't cheap thats for sure but cheaper than legit tanabes. If the out the door price becomes too high I was gonna get some 15x9 -15 TE37Vs but they don't make them in 4x100 so its pretty much these wheels or nothing.

15x9's with 275s. Do it!

You just discussed 15x9's with 225's. Honestly, that's not that much different. I would run that setup on a car, so who knows, your mind may finally be going in a logical direction. That's really not much of a stretch.

Unlike most functional type modders, who swear its their way or nothing, I actually can appreciate both sides of the spectrum. I think that miata w/ 275s is ******* dope, but I think a stanced up one slammed out is dope too ;)

I'd like the think of myself as going for the happy medium (2thumbs)

Just about every stance lover is the same way. Why cant functional type people do the same?

I can dig what you're trying to do, however there's 500 million VW's done the same way near where I live. I kinda got sick of seeing it 3 years ago.

But yes. I appreciate both sides of the spectrum because of the work put into it. However, I've always been one for function. Growing up, I cut my teeth on muscle cars where the saying was "If it don't go, chrome it. If it goes really fast, paint it flat black." I pretty much was brought up on "get the most performance out of what you have, no matter what it looks like. Damn it sucks growing up kinda poor. You have jaded feelings toward flash and looks.

I'll take a stab at this one. Because appreciating hella-flushed-stanced-whatever cars involves ignoring glaring functional problems, and these problems are so obvious that they're impossible for us to ignore. Much of the time just looking at the car you can tell that they're scrubbing, rubbing, scraping, at the slightest bit of suspension travel. We "functional type people" like to be able to drive our cars, drive them hard, and not have to dial it back for fear of ripping our fenders off. I'll speak for myself in that I can appreciate the aesthetic of wide, low, close tolerances, lots of rubber, and getting as close to that functional boundary as you can get without going past it. But when you say "**** function", "**** driveability", completely ignore any notion of proper fitment, and obliterate that boundary because you think it makes you look cool, it's downright upsetting to look at. And as much as we try to ignore reality to try to appreciate the aesthetic, we keep coming back to... "but but... one bump and the fender will dismount that tire!" etc. I can get past it on cars that will never be driven hard, show/trailer queens for example, and bagged cars that can raise it back up for the drive home. But asking for us to appreciate it on cars that deserve to be driven hard on a daily basis just confuses us. Functional types find it very hard to ignore reality.

Does that explanation help?

^ agree. dont get me wrong, i love the slammed look but when people do s*** like this....

its a little much.

the ms3 is made to go fast. and i would trust those tires staying on the rims above 70. lol

i swear people need to stop using this ms3 as proof, lol most form folk dont even like that, lol and if im correct hes still dialing in the stance somehow...
