For warranty reasons. And there are springs and shims that come with it when new that I don't have.

That is a First Generation....works great! why don't you just keep it? Warranty??? I didn't have any issues with my dealer even with my Turbosmart..

My offer will depend on the spring and shim setup that will come with the BPV. Since it does not have the extra springs and shims it can't really be used for many different setups. I am still interested though.

I unscrewed the top and found a blue spring. I didn't see any shims so I pulled the piston out.. didn't find anything under there.

So I guess the answer is.... blue spring. Can washers be used in place of shims?

yes you can cuz that's all they really are just minus the hole..I never used the shims just the blue spring cuz it's rated to 30psi alone.
