WTF is wrong with ford?

OK,I am not seeing a problem!
Soooo...WTF is wrong with Ford?????????

Still not seeing a prob!Ford just wanted to get into some more profits! This is the american way!:D

Ford and Mazda have been one and the same for years. I have a 93 probe and it has a Mazda engine. (235,000 with no re-build too). Maybe Ford just saw fit to give "Ford Buyers" looking on their web site the option to own a Mazda. It's all cool wit me.

Please don't line up the 3 and the 6 with the ugly Ford Taurus and Town car. WTF.....:wtf:

I'm going to have to agree with that...

I know both companies are in the same boat and have been, but they are still different and should be displayed seperately to the public, because then you get idiots who trash on your Mazda because they're like..'well its just as bad as a Ford' or some other ignorant comment..

Like Daimler Chrysler...you wouldn't want to have a Dodge Neon next to a Mercedes Kompressor...not that Mazda's are a Mercedes
but you know what I mean..

That's all true, but from a business stand point The Ford Motor Company could really give a damn what we all think or buy. Whether they sell a Ford or a Mazda it all reflects on the bottom line of the whole company. It all boils down to dem dolla dolla bills ya'll.

They better give a s*** what I care or what I think is good with a car if they ever want to recieve my money.

Case in point...

My g/f's mother would not let her buy a Chevy because her last car, an 87 Chevy Celebrity, died after 14 years of loyal service....Her mother used to drive the car before she got a Camry and had little to no problems with it except that she had to replace the brakes often because she drives with both feet. By now you have a good idea what kind of person this is.

Well the Celebrity started breaking down all the time because of its age. 14 year old cars with over 100K non-highway miles do that.

So they are looking at new Corollas 1999-2000. I suggest they get a Chevy Prism because its the same car with a Chevy logo on it and significantly cheaper. But she refused to let her daughter buy a Chevy and they got a 2000 Corolla and paid the extra money for it. Granted it is an LE and its a real nice car, but the fact is...reguardless of whether they bought the Corolla or the Prism, the car is still 50% GM/Chevy and was assembled here in the US!!!! To this day she still doesn't believe that the Prism and Corolla are the same car.

People are real phobic about american cars these days. Ford knows this so they want people to know that they are the mastermind behind all these nice vehicles that people are driving. I bet half the people who buy new Jaguars have never looked inside their engine compartments and notice that the engine has FORD stamped on it.

I don't know how Mazda agrees with this and let's them do it though. Ok, in once sense, it might bring Ford customers that are on their web site to look at Mazda.

But, people who buy imports, are usually buying imports because they are not cheap, crappy built domestics.

Case in point. My family, including myself had domestics, then switched to an all honda family. I'd still be driving a honda today if the dealer didn't have it's head up it's ass. I loved the mp3, and switched form honda to Mazda. I'm trying to get in to a Mazdaspeed now.....but, I'm thinking this is my last Mazda. If I don't get the Mazdaspeed, then the mp3 is my last MAzda. Why? because Ford is having too much to do with the rest of Mazda's lineup, and I will not buy a Ford again. I want an import, not a domestic pretending to be one. I've tried to get other members of the family to come over to Mazda, but forget it, all they see is Ford and they say forget it.

Here's something funny to think about

Main problems on the Speed/Protege are?

1. Hesitation caused by ecu/or turbo setup. ECU made by ford, turbo, designed by Callaway....both american

2. Clunk - Caused by bushings, designed by Racing Beat...american company.....some rumour saying MAzda used their own design....never really proven if Mazda made them in the US or Japan.

3. Cold Rattle on start up: Caused by ECU: Made by Ford

4. Car stalling while driving and at a stop: Caused by ECU, made by whom?????? FORD!

Just something to think about. one can argue that Mazda Japan programmed the ECU.....but who tuned it for the Mazdaspeed? Callaway?

Ford/Mazda pickups....seriuos problem with the rear brakes, who makes those brakes....Ford.

I could go on and on....

Mazda may be owned by Fixed Or Repair Daily but it's quality is all Japan baby!!!

heh...I'm kiddin. Hell, if it weren't for Ford, our precious little cars would not exist. I give em their props for helpin us out. At least when you click the pic it takes you to Mazda's website. This can only help bring more visitors to Mazda, since Ford does have (and I know you guys hate to hear it) a large share of the market.

Think of it this way--maybe when Joe Blow is thinking of replacing his old Probe with something new and scans Ford's site because he did like the "sportyness" of his old car and would kinda like something like it. He sees that Ford has nothing along the same lines and doesn't think the mustangs suits his tastes, so he chooses to look into these "Mazdaspeed" thingies... Voila! Instant turn...kinda like the vamps in Blade II...lmao!
