No...the one I have now is fine, just has 107k on it (time for a new one?)....I was thinking since I need a new/used engine, and I have an automatic....I was thinking of doing a swap to make it a manual...
Right now I'm looking at all my options....

questions: could i do a swap from an AT to a MT?? engines for a 2.0L manual engine are cheaper....how difficult is it to do a swap? what exactly do i need to change??

I have the worst luck ever!!! 2005 is the worst year so far!
a week ago 4/30 i had an oil change done on the car...5/7 the engine gave out...lack of oil, yes because the car was DRY, no oil in it....i checked underneath, everything was straight, the filter was on, the cap was tight....there has to be a leak somewhere....
today the mobile manager came over...this is what he said:
-everything was secure (oil filter/cap/plug)
-there was no sign of any leak
-its an internal problem (pump maybe?)
-dont need a new engine, the bottom part of the engine can be repaired

did u do the oil change urself? if a shop did it, then let them give u a new engine, it's clear that they didn't put oil in the engine after draining it, the oil warning light won't show up for at least a week, sometimes it won't show up at all, and the car will run 'fine' for a small period of time
the engine can be repaired, anything can be rapaired. But i would recommend/insist a new engine is needed, god only knows what damage was done that is not visible right now, the last thing u want is an engine waitng to break down...

i went to mobile to have the oil change done.
i dunno what the hell to do, i'm all confused! i'm going to have certified mechanics look at it...maybe do diagnostic...
yea, i think i'm going to just get another engine...plus mine has 108k+ miles on it.
