I just called Mazda, they quoted me $112 for one taillight.

I would, but what are the chances someone is going to need just the driver's side taillight? then i'd be stuck with it. I'd let both go for less than that price Mazda gave you though.

But, so you have aftermarkets now? What kind - and do you have pics? Because I'm also thinking of just going for aftermarket tails instead.

I have the APC carbon fiber tails. Alil ricey, but I like em for my car. If you ever change your mind about the OEM tails, i'm looking for $80 shipped.
