WTB: Mazda Miata

Im looking for a miata, as a side project car..not too expensive..mayb 1,000 to 1,500 , doesnt matter what year, just want a little fun car. if you have anything let me know, id appreciate it.

It's rare to find a Miata below about $2500, even in very rough shape. But I wish you luck. I thorougly enjoyed my '94 when I had it. (2thumbs)

ive seen some on craigslist for about $2800..what year is the best?? does it matter?? ive heard 1990-97 are pretty much the same..

Some people avoid 90 and early 91 due to the "short nose crank" that makes the timing belt more difficult to change. 94+ have dual air bags and the larger 1.8 engine.

ok, ive found a 95 for $2900 on craigslist..with a turbo..thats sound like a good deal..ill try to talk them down to 2500. are miatas good on miles?? is 200,000 alot for a miata?? ive heard they go forever.

if it drives well I'd say that's a great deal

also look at the top (can be replaced, but not particularly easy or cheap) and drain plugs (if they clog up, water will collect and cause rust/musty odor)
