Would you race a COP? Hell yer, I just did today!!!!!

Don't under estimate the Vic(PI) especaly up against the pos 3800 series II impalla! I had a cavalier loose the damn impala! Two vics sped past me and I was using the 1st gear range! Vics are badass and a few parts can be used from the mustangs :) Reason you see more of theses POS impalas and taruses on the road is cause of the rear ending expolsions with previous years vics. Cleveland PD has a corvette (whenever it runs) and a riviera on switches for car shows and g.r.e.a.t. programs. Car was seized on undercover drug bust when it ws uses to transfer drugs thru cleveland from texas and thats all the info I got. All the unmarked cars here are expeditions and imalas.

I saw camaros in the US once =\ that's about it for me.

That WRX and 350Z are pretty cool, i wish cops were that cool around here (do drag races n stuff)

now that is the townships money well spent (and im actually being serious, not sarcastic) it's good to see cops who like imports.. instead of them thinking that your a street racer because you have an aftermarket front bumper.

I don't think the money is well spent. That dept. has way way way too much money. The WRX is fine, but there is no need for a lambo door 350Z. Unless these are repo or siezed....

Those officers probably make 80K per year and don't do all that much compared to big city cops (yes, I am trying to be a big city cop). Being a cop can be cake or tough, depends on what dept you join.

I would rather have the action than the pay.

Still, that is pretty cool. I have never seen anything more than a nice SS or Mustang.

my hometown of population 716 (according to the sign) used to have a pair of black camaros with their lights mounted next to the headlights. since there's no street lights on the highway, they'd just pull off onto a small driveway at night and sit and wait until it's too late....yeah i never sped around there. damn speed trap....i wonder if the local pd ever made enough money to buy something like that Z.

Next time I go, I will try to make them open the hood.
Haha if I find anything illegal, I will take a pic!!! (usa)

Are they street driven vehicles or just road and track? I know of a few departments where crusiers didn't pass the e check their damn selves ;)

When you say square...you mean boring or 80s boxed off vic?

There's a dealership outside of town that specializes in used cop cars. They get everything from vics to camaros to mustangs. Cheap as s***, too. I've been thinking about buying one lately.

id hate to use the 350s doors to block a bullet.
well anyways a bullet will go straight through a car door unless it is shot at an angle enough to ricochet it.

yeah as long as they are aiming for the side impact beams with hollow tip rounds. Now a days the doors of the car are thinner than or as than as the jacket the round is in. Not only that but D.C. got rid of the assaslt weapon band.

First of all, no department is going to allow any other their staff to use nitrous oxide as a daily driver addition. The safety factor is HUGE within departments, and that's not very high on the safe list. The Harley, BMW, and Kaw bikes most departments use are not stock but are also not modified in the aftermarket way we all think. The makers have special lines of service vehicles which use anything from different engines, suspensions, tires, chips, etc, but all of that is done at the factory.

The most popular car you'll see is the Crown vic, which is "just a bit different" than the standard Crown Vic, which is shown via the "Police Interceptor" badging.

I'd be willing to say that the cars on the track are NOT daily drivers for normal police activities but "community relations" cars to help ease the tension between street racers and cops.

Deparmtnets everywhere are trying such programs, from DARE cars to appointed drag nights that the city pays for, all in hopes of keeping kids safe and off the street while showing off their penis size.

The only modifications most departments me after the fleet is received would be graphics/paint, lighting and electrical. Due to the fact that the vehicles are fleet and to be retired sometimes yearly, no engine modifications are done.

crown vic has a pcm upgrade to raise idle...1 sec I'll find it.
Damnit!!! Galls ink doesn't have it listed on the site anymore!
