:p

yeah,,,,,no s***!! complete sense (my car is car) evaporates at this time in his young life with the arrival of the mighty MAZDASPEED. KICK ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

,,,,,,,,,but that's okay; I understand - I think all of the MSP owners do!

didn't mean to type "my car is car", but since you defend that for me, I think is a suitable title!!!

REALLY, OUR MSP IS CONSIDER A REAL CAR!!!!

Please be considerate.... I have been waiting since last year April....

you are lucky enough....

but you know, it's always good to test yourself through time to find out if you really love that car or not....

I DO. **

btw, what should I do on predelivery? I'll make sure I check the paint and in very detail of the car. but other than that, what else should i pay attention to? anything I should ask the dealer b4 I drive away??

paint, interior damage of any kind (scratches, etc.), FLUID LEVELS, TIRE PRESSURE. Those last two are too often overlooked.

btw, what should I do on predelivery?

Take a Venlafaxine (anti-anxiety medication) pill dude. Chill your ass out before you get behind the wheel.

We don't want to read that you took out a row of Protege's on your way off the lot.

Your car may indeed be car, but take a few deep breaths or rub one out if you have to.

Have fun, be safe.

Congratulations and have fun!
Driving off the lot was the most exciting part of the delivery..
Just engaging gears for the first time is a dream....you'll get butterflies in your stomach....:D

Post Pictures and Enjoy once again!!

Grim: I see that you mentioned Ronin as your favorite car movie on that thread.
"Ronin. I loved the S8 in it. Don't remember the actor who drove it. Robert Deniro was also in it. Lots of awesome cars, and awesome driving."

You know; that was a John Frakenheimer film, and it was the first time those car camera mounts were used since he directed
"Grand Prix" in 1967. Many consider "Grand Prix" the greatest racing film of all time, and yes; "LeMans" is considered right there along with it.

Yep, I have the DVD version of the movie. I listened to the directors comments on how the chase scenes were filmed and stunts were performed. It was excellent and truly amazing. Makes me want to drift my S8 around some tight corners in Europe. :D
I'd take the BMW 5-series or the Peugeots, or even the big Merc too.
I thought it was cool that the actors did a lot of their own driving, and that the film wasn't sped up like it is in a lot of other car chases. They were actually hustling those cars around at 140 MPH down regular roads.
There were a couple of "accidental accidents" in it too. Like when the big Merc was involved in one chase scene and fishtailed a bit going around a tight corner, and took out a rear quater panel on the car. That wasn't supposed to happen (that was the directors personal car...)

Edit - found the name of the actor who drove of the S8: Skip Sudduth. IIRC, he, DeNiro, and Jean Reno (and all the bad guys too I imagine) all had to go to high speed driving school before the movie was shot.

I liked Ronin, also. Not much of a plot, but incredible driving footage! You need to see "Grand Prix". One day, they may release it on DVD, but for now, only available on 2 VHS tapes. It's a true classic.

Yes,,,,,,and I love my PS2 "Gran Turismo 3". But you would not believe how good a driver my wife is! I always shift manually, and I can beat her 75% of the time on pavement. But; on the Rally courses, she is very, very good. I never would have thought!!

Ok guys, I saw my MSP on Friday afternoon after work, it was awesome. They did a little preparation work on it but haven't clean it out yet. like hook up the stereo (kickass.... you should think how can I stand the P5 stereo after listening to that...), and drive to other dealership for alignment ( I guess their dealership is too small that they don't even have alignment system/machine?)

the orange look so dull b/c of the dust.... kinda expected. it still have plastic turbo tubing, which sucks. the seats are so cool, nice and supportive. shifter is so small.

I only have 15 mins to scan through the car and take photos and then I off to go. I am now in Vancouver and crazy missing my MSP sitting in the dealership now in Calgary....

I would be returning tomorrow to take a close look and test drive probably after work.
