Winter and Mirrors

So this being my first winter with the CX, what happens when the folding mirrors are frozen and you lock/unlock? Does it hurt the motor as it tries to fold/unfol and realizes it's frozen?

I didn't have issues last year, but I've read that some people disable them. However I went digging through the menus yesterday and couldn't find the option.

Yes, it can hurt the motor. Most people will disable the auto-folding mirrors during the winter because of this. See below for the process.
