wingless msp

here was my solution: i wanted something temporary enough that i could still replace the wing if i ever wanted to, but something permanent enough that it would look decent and not leak. i put good old (yellow!)duct tape across the the holes from inside the trunk. filled the top of the holes with indoor/outdoor spackle and made is as flush as i could. then put several layers of matching touch up paint over the spackle but within the outline of the holes. difficult to get a decent photo of the fix, but here you go... most people don't notice it unless i point it out to them.

Thanks man I like this Idea Im going to look into it if I cant find the plugs at ace.

yeah, i searched endlessly for plugs that would be the right size/shape/color/material with no luck. it's probably easier to find something that blends in on a black or maybe silver car. my fix is a little more work, but it's completely flush, matches the paint, and is harder to notice.

I'm painting the tops of the 5/6" plugs I used with some touch up paint I have sitting around. I did a few of them the other day (the extras I didn't use) and put them on to see how they looked and it looked pretty good! Much better than the black/white plugs for sure.
