Can anyone tell me how long the windsheild is under warrenty, time/millage?
I was driving home yesturday and i heard this loud pop and outta no where I see this very long crack. At first i though it was a rock that hit it until i got outta the car and checked it. there is no impact anywhere near the crack. then i did a search today and have found pics of others cars with the crackin the same place. Mine is cracked in the middle to upper part of my passenger side area. it starts at the edge of the glass under the rubber and comes out then archs down to the middle of my passenger air bag.

I just dont know how long it is covered before it falls under me. I dont have a problem filing it under insurance becaseu i have a 0 deductable but i would rather have them pay for it if it was not casued by me. That way i dont have a hit on my insurance for a comp claim.

I assume it is covered throughout the warranty, if it is a stress crack. I've had two myself, on the 3rd windshield. They found no chips or anything, so they replaced it.

my dealer wouldnt warrenty s***...they found this tiny ass chip from go knows where and said that was the cause....now its spread everywhere since i got my sub put in so im just fixin it myself

when to dealer about 20 minutes ago. the guy that looked at it said it looks to be another stress cracked mazda. they took my info and the mazda rep is gonna call tommorrow to arrange everything.

good deal! btw... if they tell you that you have two options, choose the one with the tint stripe (I believe it's a p5 windshield). Anyway, it is different than our stock one, and so far it seems better.

dealer has now changed there. mind. said since my car was in a accident that they are not gonna cover the windsheild. I had a accident a year ago and the car had 2500 miles on it. The car has now 16500 on it. What the **** does the accident have to do with the windsheild nothing. espeacily since accident was on other side of car on the rear. My dealer hasnt learned yet not to **** with me. had a problem with the paint after a accident and after 6 months they repainted the whole car free of charge. Guess they ill never learn.
Time to call mazda usa.

Man, mazda has been having a helluva time with us MSPers recently eh? When will they learn to stop ******* with us and stand by their products?

its all good i have got a list of problems ive had in the last year. Time to do research in the lemon law and bring that up in the phone call I gonna eb havin when Mazda USA calls back.

I'm on windshield number 3.. stress cracks so the dealer took care of replacing them for me. :)

This is taken directly from the Virginia lemon law statues. In short, you have to have the same problem repaired three or more times, it has to be a serious safety defect, and/or your vehicle has to be out of service for 30 days or more.

It shall be presumed that a reasonable number of attempts have been undertaken to conform a motor vehicle to any warranty and that the motor vehicle is significantly impaired if during the period of eighteen months following the date of original delivery of the motor vehicle to the consumer either:

The same nonconformity has been subject to repair three or more times by the manufacturer, its agents or its authorized dealers and the same nonconformity continues to exist;

The nonconformity is a serious safety defect and has been subject to repair one or more times by the manufacturer, its agent or its authorized dealer and the same nonconformity continues to exist; or

The motor vehicle is out of service due to repair for a cumulative total of thirty calendar days, unless such repairs could not be performed because of conditions beyond the control of the manufacturer, its agents or authorized dealers, including war, invasion, strike, fire, flood or other natural disasters.

  1. The lemon law rights period shall be extended if the manufacturer has been notified but the nonconformity has not been effectively repaired by the manufacturer, or its agent, by the expiration of the lemon law rights period.

Dealers are **** tards with the windshield issue.
I had a few small chips on my windshiled not even on the crack itself which had grown to 2 feet long, and they told me the glass wouldn't be covered due to the chips.
BS!
I went to 2 different dealers and got the same BS response, so i had the windshield changed last weekend on my own. Lifetime guarantee agianst cracks and chips.
