Window tint

When I was looking into suggestions, I wish there had been a thread about window tint and even some example pictures. So, let's start one. If you've got pictures of your windows, post them up along with the specs, please.

Took the car in to my local Window Kote today and had them put Llumar's ceramic CTX tint in a 30 all around. Couldn't be happier with the outcome. As with all fresh installs, it looks a bit darker than it will at the end of the month.

The band my installer uses is Johnson Window Films. The rear windows have 5 (5% transmission) and the fronts are the lightest they offered, I think 50.

Here's a snowy one:

Got mine done early March at Flying Window Tinting here in Orlando. Ran me $170 for laser cut 15% llumar film all the way around and the front strip on the windshield. Awesome quality work and will be going back to them for all my tinting needs!

Wow bowman!!! That looks really good. I have a Titanium Flash hatch sitting in my driveway now but have been to lazy to make an appointment with the tinting place.
Oh man I love that car ha.

Right after getting the car I put on 45% spectra photosync tint on all windows and 75% on the windshield. Always felt it's too light, liked it at first but always wished I went darker. Last month I added a second layer on top, 50% so now it's like a 25% tint lol

Not sure of the brand of tint as the dealer had it done. It's 40% front & rear and 60% side windows. I am very happy with that combination.

When I had my Cobalt ss I had 20% all around and man was that too dark at night time. I wouldn't ever suggest anything under 35%

You can used to the 20% all around in the night time eventually. I sure have!

I got my tint done back in March at DiamondFleet&Auto in Kanata, Ontario cost $300 including sun strip 16% all round.

I'm currently shopping around to get my windows tinted. A coworker suggested Viper tint...I did some quick research but came up with nothing else except that Madicos is the actual production company...has anyone used this tint brand before? I want to get some reviews before I commit!

I'm getting 40% put on tomorrow. Was going to go 35%, but they only have 20, 30 and 40. I feel 30% is too dark and too close to legal limit.

Rear window tinting makes it hard to see rear view images at night. Now if only we had electro-tint, that issue would be non-existent.

When I got my car the dealer had the rear tinted at 5% and it was hard to see out the back at night. However, backing up was still pretty easy with the back up camera and everything looked pretty bright too even though my back alley was pretty dark.
