Will the vibration from the aftermarket motor mount quiet down?

Will, last time I did the front mount and saw a big improvement on driving characteristic and wheel hop/clutch slip. Today I had my mechanic did the rear mount and it was kinda a disappointment. The shifting got better but the wheel hop/clutch slip thing came back and the vibration is bad. I have SU 62 duro and expected less vibration. the engine sound now penetrates into the cabin loud and the worst thing is every time I touch the gas peddle when it's below 2k rpm it gives a loud boom...basically when rpm is below 2k it's annoying loud.
Well, now I seem to have two more hope on this, first installing the two side mounts and second wait for it to settle, does anyone know if any of these will help the vib and noise?

In my experience...The vibration doesn't ever go away...Even though people will say they Break in.
I personally think people just get used to it....Not that it breaks in or gets better.
But this is just my opinion with them.
They are harsh..thats for sure.

I have heard side inserts help...I have a set waiting with only the front inserts installed, but I know for a fact they have broken in...I can tell by the fact that my dash rattled like it was going to fall out the first week I put them in, and it barely vibrates now....

Personally put the stock rear back in and you still be all set with the inserts. I get the same thing with my mounts. Also try cleaning out your EGR valve to see if that helps. I'm just to lazy to reinstall my stock rear.

The vibrations will never settle down and you get used to it like ForceFed stated. Now My vibrations very a lot.... cold starts you can hear the keys jingle in the ingtion. Other times you can watch my dash shake at a light and some times its hardly noticably but only in the seats.

Agreed. All aftermarket mounts make the car vibrate at idle and with the a/c on. Some just do it more excessively than others.

I won't be doing side inserts but put the new side mounts in. I bought a whole set from SU but the side ones are backordered. I really hope by replacing the side ones it will get rid of the bad stuff the rear one giving me now.
I do need to clean the EGR. The more mounts I put in the more "drop low" at idle. Hopefully I will have time next weekend.
And hopefully they do break in...
It already made me dizzy by driving it 30 minutes today...

nope you will still get the noises below 2k and vibratiosn will be a tad bit better but not much

well going from a broken mount to a performance mount is certainly going to take some getting used to.

i've found that if you only do one mount the vibration is more noticable than if you do two, three or all of them. the other mounts come into play to absorb more of the residual vibrations.

I am still waiting to install my front from you, Ken, but, when I do replace the front with the AWR, and replace the sides and rear OEM with new OEM's, would it still vibrate like crazY?

All new stock mounts with the exception of the front motor mount which is beign replaced with a AWR... no that will not vib like crazy.. in fact I didn't notice any vibes when I had a 90 or 95 duro front mount with the rest stock.

Alrighty then, I'm pretty sure all the mounts are shot. Or close to it. while cruising in 4th gear at about 45, if i step on the gas, i can feel the shifter rise and fall as i'm on and off the gas. That's probably not good on the rest of the car

I just installed the 88 durometer AWR rear mount- to complete my set. Engine vibrations are pretty rough. At idle, the engine resonance can penetrate into the cabin and drown out the radio at low volume. However, as soon as I get the engine speed above idle, all vibrations seem to go away.

I've noticed when I had the other 3, they wouldn't vibrate as bad in warm weather. Now that it's cold out, the polyurethane is even stiffer and transmitts more vibrations.

My stock rear mount is still in good condition. If I decide that the rear mount is too much for me, I'm going to swap the stock mount back in.

I'm really thinking if putting the side ones in there will not lessen the vib, I will just buy a new OEM rear one and put it in. So with three SU and rear OEM it should vib less right?
That's another 90 bucks and labor...

I didn't think that I had too many vibrations with my AWR front (88 durometer) and side inserts.

The rear mount is the most not-fun mount to do. I did mine while I had my intake manifold out for the VTCS removal. If I put the stock one back, I might wait until I put the 626 manifold in.

AWR 90 front, rest stock. Vibes a little but not to bad. Only when the idle get down around 700 is it really bad.

Honestly for a street car i say a nice firm front, rest all stock but in good condition.

sounds like what mine started doing then roughly 6 or so months later my Thunder started to rub against my oil pan!

I replaced the side mounts and all is goood. No more dp rubbing on the pan and less vibrations believe it or not! Also my stock mounts litteraly fell apart when I removed them.

No, mine never quieted down, but I got used to it so I don't notice it as much anymore.

I guess I'm really gonna just have my mechanic put a new rear one in there. It's my daily ride and that kinda vib isn't fun...
I'm thinking if I should cancel the side mounts now and just buy OEM side mounts...
