Will Infinity 529i speakers fit the rear door?

I've settled on getting Infinity speakers for my 2003 P5. I'm on a tight budget so I was going to get either 5032cf Reference or Kappa 529i. Crutchfield says they don't fit, but Crutchfield also said that I would have to unbolt the support bar to fit my Sony Xplod DSX-S300BTX and I didn't have to do that.

I don't want to mess with cutting anything, but I don't mind drilling new mounting holes. Anyone put these in their P5? How much did it take to get them mounted?

Thanks in advance!

they will fit with an adapter, i have kappa perfect 6" components in the rear doors with an adapter to space them out.

I have the infinity kappa 682.9cf 5x7's. They're around the same price just shaped like the stock speaker so they bolt right in.

Awesome! Thanks for the tip. I'll look into it.

BTW... I know what dynamat is supposed to do. What difference have you noticed since you installed yours?

I decided to go with reference 5032cf's. They went in super easy, but I think I'm going to swap them out for 6032cf's. They will contact the door face a little better. Super stoked. The 5032's sound awesome. I'm sure the 6032's will be just that much better. It's nice hearing a rich sound coming from the back. Thanks again for the tip on the adapter!!

Just a postscript for anyone who reads this thread and decides to try the 6032's. They did fit, but it took some doing. I wasn't able to make the same adapter work that I used for the 5032's (see recommendation from bikingpro5 above). I ended up using the adapters that came with the 6032s. I had to get some small bolts and screws to attach the speaker to the adapter I had to use flathead bolts and drill out the hole on the door side just enough for the head of the screw to sit flush with the adapter). Then I had to screw the adapter into the door. There really wasn't enough room for the screwdriver head so it scratched up the side of the speaker frame right at the screws.

I'm glad I switched to the 6032's, though. While installing them, I realized that both the tweeter and the woofer from the 5032's had been contacting the inside of the door panel. I ended up dremeling out all the honeycomb behind the speaker grill. I think the tweeters still touch slightly (so I have to remember not to bang the door panels at the speaker grills), but the woofers are free. :)

They sound amazing and there is no visible sign of the install.
