Mazda...uh, something
Why the **** do i even pay for insurance

So Im driving to the gym doing about 50mph and the car in front of me runs over a HUGE ass piece of cardboard which consequently flies right into my car cracking the lower grill, scratching the bumper and COVERING my windshield. Luckily it slid off. So I go home WITH the cardboard as proof or whatever...call the insurance company and find out that with my FULL COVERAGE its not worth doing anything unless its over $400 in damage. **** that, its prolly like $50 for the grill and some buffing on the scratches, but i shouldnt have to pay a ****** cent, what kinda ballsh!t is that.(pissed)

Yep thats a deductible for ya. I bet you could change your insurance to have no deductible but your premiums will be out of control.

A week after I got my car, something cracked the lower grill. Another week later my windshield got a rock thrown at it by a truck tire. Huge ******* crack.

How long have you been with them?

Sometimes, you can negociate that s*** if you politely tell the you've been shopping around. They may agree to cover it.

To me insurance is a joke.

Somehow, somewhere, someone figured out how to create a business that requires you to send in tons of money every month, allows that business to distribute money however they see fit, and also make it law for everyone to use these companies.
Hmm, I got a good business! Insurance for smokers...each smoker pays $100 a month to me, and if they get cancer, I will give them back 10% of what they have paid to me!

(I am pissed about my recent cracked windsheild, and my $400 deductable, yet I have payed over $4000 to that company, and I have never claimed one cent)

my insur is going up cause end of last summer i had a rock go through my windshield and i paid the 250 dedutable and made the insur pay the other 100 or whatever it was. now my rate is going up like 48 bucks now cause i no longer have a clean record of no claims.

i have a huge crack in the windshield, dent on my hood from block of wood off interstate, 2 busted rims with flat tires, from hitting pot hole+ front end alignment, $585.00 and now my shock is busted maybe its the strut, makes aweful rattling noise when i go over the smallest bump... this is at least 700.00 worth of damage if not 1000.00 tell me what sucks agian. now im on slick ass stock tires which i can only drive 55mph on..... good luck getting that fixed...

Yeah. I got hit by a blown out tire last week too. I hate trucks, I treat them like s*** on the highway now. I NEVER let them in, cut them off all the time now.

Insurance is a bs system where you pay them and then pay them more if something happens. I had an egg hit my car. The damage was worthy of paying the deductible. I pay it, get the reapair, and my insurance goes up. So what's the benifit? Nothing. If it wasn't the law I'd have none. I realize it's to cover your butt if something major happens but it's not like that wouldn't drive your rates so high you just have to pay waaay more over the long haul. INSURANCE = SCAM

Thanks guys...the whole point of this post was to hear how much worse has happened to oter to make me feel better...
I remember someone posting in the VA regional forum about an MSCW meet where an insurance rep came from some company to give advice and answer quesion and one of the things he said was. "if your car gets damaged by soemthing in the road, you didnt hit it, it hit YOU" wouldnt that mean it was the objects fault, and not a no-fualt deal. I realize insurance is a scam but im gonna have to look into this more just to be sure...In retrospect I wish it had cracked my bumper so id have an excuse to buy an aftermarket one :D
I did find out that it also cracked one of the vertical bars that is part of the bumper itself that rests behind the grill. I guess Imma call the stealership and find out how much one of these bishes costs. If its too much I might just go to one at night and pop one off a car in the lot (lol) j/k

well insurance isnt ALL bad (i have to say this, my moms a state farm agent)

2003: I rear end a 300zx at 45mph. (in my Z28)

taken to the chevy dealer, $3790 in damage (ouch) (car is worth $3500 at most) no frame damage or anything, parts are just expsensive as all hell. I pay my $500 deductible and they pay the other $3290 amd i got my car back like brand new (it had actually been needing a paint job) and since no citation was written the wreck did not go on my record, my premiums went up $45 every 6 months cuz i amde a fairly large claim.

needless to say you got VERY lucky.

SPeaking of State farm, I have a bit of a bone to pick with them about another situation. I was an accident last october and my car was totalled. I was not at fault and the other guy got 2tickets. I went to shock trauma(NOT fun) and did physical therapy for over a month for my upper back and neck. I have been waiting a LONG time since my lawyer submitted the settlement info to find out ANYTHING. Basically my file keeps getting handed off from agent to agent, and no one except the original one has really looked at it. Its going on 2months since everything was supposed to be done. I wouldnt be in such a big hurry for a settlement, but the fact that over 2grand in lost wages is tied up in it, and i NEED THAT money is really getting on my nerves.

u have to bug the crap out of them, u cant let them handle everything or it'll never get done.
that's what I thought, but my Lawyer insists that calling too much, more than once a week, will make it look like Im depserate and lower the final settlement amount. (shrug)
