why do our cars suck so bad w/ AC?

hopefully it's not just mine...

but its so weak, its like a struggle to start in 1st gear, and idling is pretty loud. anybody else have this? or an idea of how to fix it?

^you SHOULD feel more vibrations at idle with the AC on...

Even with my auto on my ES and the AC on, it doesn't feel slow. It actually pulls really nicely mid-way through the rpm range.

Yeah my MP3 feels weak when the A/C is running but I have no idea why it does that.

This is a common complaint on P5s, so I can see how it could be an MP3 issue as well. Of course they weigh more and don't have your awesome ECU (+10HP) but I think it's more about the fact that 130-140HP isn't really that much, so big drive accessories like the A/C sap a larger percentage of the power than they would on a 300HP V8. Windows down, A/C off FTW.

Yep 5hp out of 130 is a s*** load compared to 5hp out of 300! lol

Yeah, if your AC is weak get it serviced pronto. Just refill the coolant. Lots of power drained from the engine = lots of power tearing up the unit!
