Why do dealers always screw with me?

Like friggen usual the deals that exist for everyone else for some reason just don't exist for me. I went to deal on an 04 Mazda6s with leather and sport package and the best they would do is $419/month + $1000 down. Totaling over $26000 as they said although my car was in great shape no Subaru dealer would give them much more then $20000 for the STi. Which is total Horshit as the car NADA's trade in value is 25,600 and I saw 2 04's on dealer lots yesturedayfor around $29,000. This bean bag actualy tried to tell me that he couldn't keep the car on the lot as people don't come there to look for subarus. At this point I was pissed and told him that it might actualy help get a customer in the door as they had almost none and everyone of them they did have spent longer looking at my car then the mazda they came there to check out. These guys were insisting that the 2004 only had $1500 more in rebates on it then the 2005.

I also went to look at the scion Tc as it was really the only other car that interested me. GOD I HATE THAT CAR. It had decent power and drove nice but was erganomicly CRAP. The seat needs to go 2" lower and the A-Pillar is WAY to close to the drivers head. Not to mention it had even worse visibility then the Acura RSX.

So once again, the deals for some reason just don't exist for me, and this time, not even friggen close to it.

They'll come around again. I paid about 17,800 before tax/title/tags for mine. (6s MTX with sports).

Just gotta wait till the rebates pop up then attack.

I have never had the best of luck with any dealer that I have been to craig......they are always going to gain money off your deal. It is like working with a credit card company; they always make money off the consumer!

Dude that sucks man. Just keep lookin' for the deal. Dealers hate it when you have time to search. Use it!

Crossbow, what year was your 6? Also what options? My gf is looking into a new 6s w/6-speed auto. She's hoping to get it for around 20k, hopefully less :)

get quotes from a few dealers near you. look online and email them and call a few. get the lowest number from a dealer emailing you and print it out. walk to the dealer you want to buy from or consider and start negotiating...then mention how another dealer offers you X amount for one and that youl go to them and offer to show them a print out...that might make them lower their price, its what worked when i got my p5. about the subbie thing...tell them to shove it because that car is 30k new about and you arent going to take it so maybe go to another dealer? i am sorry about your troubles and hope things get better for you and you get a mazda thats just right, since your looking for one.

Print out ALL of them. That way it's not ONE dealer that's lower, suddenly it's SEVERAL. Plus they know you're serious and not gonna take any BS :)

Everyone needs to keep in mind that this dealer had the only 2004 6s in 100 miles of me so price shopping is impossible. I guess I will just wait until the 2006s xome out and look fo deals on 2005s.

Also, I did check out all the pricing for this car via emial, but when I got down there my trade value somehow dropped $4000.

Uncle Fuckers.

So? Dealers can trade cars w/other dealers. Go into a different dealer, say you want a 2004 model. Most dealers will say they can get one. You know what the other dealer's offer was. See if you can do better having a different dealer transport the car over!

My car came from Olympia Fields, Chicago. It was 30 miles away, but I saved about 5k going through them!

Good Idea. I think I will go in pretending I want an 05 and see if they bring up the 04.

Yeah probably won't happen but you never know! The goal is to get it as close to 20 as possible and then trade in her civic, so she's payin 15-17.
