Why can't this be the new MS3?

i dunno, gm had tons of problems with the inline 5 in the colorado's and canyons. imo, id rather have a V6 than an I5 =/
Volvo has been building reliable straight-5's for almost 30 years. This is a Volvo motor. The layout of the motor should be entirely irrelevant. All that matters is what the motor can do, and in this case it puts out 305 hp and 325 lb.ft of torque and is getting rave reviews.

No worries. Maybe 10 years ago when I first heard about straight-5 my head my head just about imploded because I wouldn't wrap my head around how the hell they balanced them, and then told myself they must be bad motors. Took a friend's mid-90's Audi S4 5-cylinder turbo to show me I was being an idiot...

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that down the road they will release this car in the states.

Gmac
