To add another point of view, I SERIOUSLY doubt any of the aftermarket wings sold to the "youth" croud provide any sort of actual down force. The wing that is installed on this Corvette is nothing more than show. If this wing were to provide any sort of significant, usefull downforce, do you honestly think that the fiberglass hatch lid could support it? hehe

actually the mazdaspeed wing was tested by the japs in a wind tunnel.. and the downforce it creates is used for handling.. not because its 'rear wheel'
Where do you hear/find this information? I'd like to see definitive proof of that before I beleive it.

yes the mazdaspeed is a nice car. BUT.. the FWD under 180 hp does not require a spoiler. -=\
hmm...i remember watching car & driver tv a while back, and they were testing a 180hp FWD audi tt, and they said "audi added the rear spoiler to prevent the rear end lift they were experiencing on the autobahn" -=\

The only car the does not need a spoiler is the G-35 that is the only car in the world where the car produces 0 lift... Which means a spoiler will only add to drag... Every other car can benefit for a spoiler but most cars don't need one because u can't go fast enough for the air to flow on to the spoiler... As the idea of downforce, u'd better be going 140+ to benefit for downforce. at that speed good luck turning on our tires. As for the vette, i'd say if he goes to the track, nice wing. if he is using it for stupid ass look, well he accomplished just that.
