Thats what I was going for!!
Thanks

u say how u "painted a new part today" or sumthing dragonbabe like u are just doin it quickly but it looks great! how many coats and of what are you using?

krylon paint I got from Micheals, not sure on the coats. differs from the black parts to the silver parts...

I used both primer and clear coat. I sprayed all of the silver pieces in my car so the only silver now is in the seats and the sterring wheel. black is easier to paint then the silver becasue the silver IS already painted, so you need to either remove the paint from the silver parts or, what I did, take some fingernail polish to it to remove the clearcoat.

Well I don't remember asking for your opinion on my opinion of your opinion of my opi....oh forget it. Regardless, Tara's car is hot and we all yearn to make our cars that nice...

(that first sentence was just a joke...my underwear isn't in that much of an uproar)

good idea with the fingernail polish, lol leave it to a girl to figure that out. does the fingernail polish harm the smoothness of the surface??

the boot is some off market brand I found on ebay, it was a quick fix. I am going to get a MOMO one to match my shift knob.

Fingernail polish didnt hurt anything, it actually helps!

very nice, u know what i mean when i say im sick of the boots that lace up like shoes?? is that boot universal or specifically for a protege?

Touche, (i think i spelled that wrong), I'm really into the asthetics over performance since I don't race nor yearn to. I just like to have a car that's very pleasing to the eyes. Some people live and die for performance...and kudos to them. Difference in tastes is what makes working on cars such a great hobby.

Tara - yeah, i definitely didn't use fingernail polish and I could live ten lifetimes and would have never came up with that idea. Did yours come out totally smooth? I put my pieces in and I'm just about ready to take them out because I'm not too pleased with them. Some came out uneven, drippy, etc. Is yours as smooth as a professional job? I can't even draw stick figures so my artistic side is slim to none.
