I know what you mean. I cant say we havent had problems with any manufacturer but garret is really all we deal with . When you want as much power as they can provide sometimes that is the price you pay. I have learned though that the return line is a big culprit to deal with. We have installed many exterior pumps to get the oil out of the turbo faster. It seems to help alot.spoolinmp3 said:Perf we have had like 4 guys with blown seals and I have been back and forth with garrett on this. Intially I thought it was the feed getting to much oil pressure. Well that was not the case because garrett advised me that even if you had lots of pressure nothing would happen since there is an internal reducer within the center cartridge. Then I thought maybe the drain line so we shortned it up.............guess what one of those 4 with the smoking turbo has the setup like DANA with the short oil line. Then I put a garrett on my car and I mad sure all the oil lines were perfect....................guess what!........smoking on my honda:mad: So I replaced the turbo to see what would happen and left all the original lines............guess what............it did not smoke![]()
