whistling windshield

:mad: Question...does anyones windshield whistle when you get going 80mph or above? Mine does, I went to a glass place on Saturday for them to replace the seal but it still makes that noise, it's so annoying. Am I the only one?

mine does it to. i heard a while back when that it could be a vent some where. im not really sure, i think ill take a tech for a ride in the car some time.

I have this wierd resonating sound ... you know when you put too much bass on a stereo and stuff vibrates? Well when i drive (without music) and hit bumps it resonates in the vents sometimes on the right and left sides ( the ones close to the side mirrors ) ... Like if some platic thing was shaking or something inside??

hey i have the same problem , some vibrating noise just as you explained is coming from my air vents when i am driving its just soo annoying. I have no idea what it is. what should i do bout it? take it back to mazda.

so far i only have 3 noise problems:
1. The little plastic cover around the mp3 player seems to be a little bit loose (probably due to weather during summer), so it rattles a little bit.
2. Some rattling springs in the little thing that holds your seatbelt. (Im kinda picky )
3. This one came with the CAI installation, after i go more than 105 mph i hear whistling coming out of the air conditioning vents, i believe its the little door of recycling or not air, but it actually sounds kind of nice as im accelerating (yeah, yeah, im crazy)

so the first 2 noises r kinda imperceptible, is just im a picky musician, and the 3rd one i can live with it, since is 105 mph and up...

other than that, no more noises.

Well i'm going to Mazda this week probably because i need my oil changed.. i'm gonna complain about:
1- that sound in the vents... and i'll bring them on a drive if they dont believe me
2- my right MIRROR is not installed correctly!! can you believe this? you know how we can move the mirrors.. well my right mirrow wont move towards the window but FROM the window.... i can still put it in normal position... but its a long way from closing on the window like the left one..

i'll keep you updated on the noise sound.. but i got this feeling theyll just say they cant fix it or something? can they do that? At least for the mirrow they have no CHOICE of fixing it.. gee i only noticed today haha.

i was having problems with my right mirror too. mine was a little different though, it fell out when i was driving, mazda fixed without a problem

I have that whistling problem too when going at 100 mph... not everytime though and it seems to disapear as I go faster...

I also get a whistleing noise, but only going about 75-80. I havn't taken it much higher sence the car only has like 400 miles on it. But I also wounder'd what the sound was. Oh, and has anyone else with a P5 noticed how damn loud wind noise is with the sunroof open? I think it's cause that roof rack bar is right there. I'm gonna take it off and see if it gets quiter. :mad:

:mad: i just confirmed today that the sound that i thought was coming from the air vents its actually from the windshield!! and that i get it after 80 moh aprox.!!! i dont like this issue....

I replaced the seal on the windshield, but it still makes the noise...it's sooooo anoying. What else can we do??? Or are we stuck with this f@$%ing noise? :mad:

Mine does the same thing, whistling noise when I approach 100 MPH, scared the hell outa me first time hehe.
