Whistling noise?

I have recently noticed a high pitched whistiling noise coming from the engine at idle when I start the vehicle up. Is this a normal noise? I guess I haven't noticed the noise before so I was just wondering if anyone has this also. You can hear it inside the car with the windows up and also with the windows down.....just barely audible but I can hear it. This wouldnt be the turbo would it?

Possible leak somewhere . . .

Don't think its ur tubo. I don't hear mine until I step on it.

id check all your hoses makes sure theres no cracks or leaks in any of them and also check your belts sometimes belts make those sounds.

I have a 2003 Protege 2.0L with that same sound. I was thinking it was a belt or something. It was showing trouble code P0171 system running lean, but that was fixed when I replaced the intake hose. It's still making the sound. Someone suggested it might be the water pump? I'm hoping not.
