Whining Sound when turning..

Only happens when turning right. And happens on or off throttle. It's REALLY annoying and pretty noticeable. If I zig zag the car, it goes on and off, on and off...what could it be? Bearings? I have no idea...

Also, not related to only MSPs, but the screw holes that hold the bumpers up are rusting. What should I use to get rid of it? I imagine spray painting the holes would be useless since the screw would just rip the paint off again. Thanks for the input.

whining sounds like its the diff ever since i got my lsd replaced it makes this sound only when turning left mazda told me to put in an adative in the tranny and it helped for about a day and came back

If it changes pitch when you turn left and right its most likely a wheel bearing.

Just had my drivers side replaced for $250 at the dealership.

Damn...$250. How hard is it to replace at home? And just wondering if anyone has the part number... Thanks!

The sound is gone completely.

Of the $250, it was almost 50:50 labor vs parts. (Everything is more expensive in Canada)

To install a bearing you will need to press them, so I figured I would just pay to have it done. There is a very good how to by a forum member.

yeah i had that problem a while ago, i think for me it was 350-400 for the fronts to be replaced. And if 250 seems like alot of $$$$ trust me, its nothing on these cars.
