which turbo slhd i get

hi guys,
i have a 2008 with a dp and test pipe. i like to get an upgrade turbo. what can i expect and what other mods should i do?

Upgraded turbo is nice but most people would suggest getting the proper mods before doing a turbo. Your engine can blow if you dont have the supporting mods. A turbo should be one of the last mods you get, not one of the first.

I see you already have the dp / tp. At a minimum if I were in your shoes I would get an upgraded intercooler, proper gauges, bpv, exhaust manifold, and CAI. You definately want to make sure your exhaust is 100% done (except the catback which doesn't do much).

After you get a turbo you will need a fuel pump and something else that is slipping my mind right now.

As for turbo suggestions. I would go for the G3071R. Out of the garrett's its the fastest spooling and has a nice powerband. Unless you plan on going for over 350ish whp on this car this is a good turbo. Your going to need forged internals to pass 350 though so unless thats on your agenda the 3071R should be good.

You definately don't want to install that turbo too quick and blow something.
