Which TT to choose?

I got a HKS type-1 the only thing is that the RPM reading is off by 100 no matter how i set it... the speed is always right. I love the speed warning feature on my car it keeps me from going over 82 mph = 130 kph

the rpm warning allows me too keep my eyes on the road while im racing someone and knwo what to shift cuz i'm about to redline

i mounted it on the left little pocket and it works great..

It's cool, I just don't think a minute listening to the radio is as big a sacrifice as the cash for a tt. Plus all the hassles with the alarm arming I've read about here. And if I park on a hill I like to know I'm in gear as well as have my e-brake on.
there is no hassle at all....you just disconnect 2 wires and you can arm your alarm with TT still on.

That's a sweet looking mount, AGR (Although I usually throw my wallet in there for long drives, so my right leg doesn't fall asleep, damn this car for not having cruise control...). I'm wondering, what are the problems that come with the Greddy FATT? I'm starting to like the blitz, but i think it will mostly come down to price if anything. How long/difficult was the install?

i've got the hks type-1
i like its colors and overall look of it, plus the rpm and speed warning features
the hks tt will beep when you hit a certain rpm (that you set) and will start beeping like crazy when it hits a second rpm setting (that you also set) and flashing red/blue

eh, i liked it best of all the tt's out there

oh, btw, i didn't mount mine, but it doesnt move or anything. still good. :P hahah

install takes about 20-30 min
maybe an hour if u want it very clean.

no biggie, just follow the how-to

im assuming you guys had to drill a hole somewhere in the dashboard to pass the wires ? How hard is that ?

I would put mine in either the left pocket or the one under the ashtray.

i didnt have to drill anything, and marashka didnt either.......
i ran my wires through the split in the steering wheel column.
marashka's wires go through the crack in the pocket by the cupholders.

u would have to drill if u want to install in the pocket on the left, or on the plastic cover for the gauge cluster.

I have mine installed where AGR's is. We drilled out the back to run the wires through. Pretty easy to do, but you have to make sure you don't mind having a hole in the back of the compartment.

I'll remember you said that a few months down the road as you put more miles on the car.

which tt is a good match of the illumination of the stock msp gauges? I just want things to look sort of uniform. If not the gauges, then the next best thing would be to match the blue lights of the radio.

So no one really addressed this yet, but what kinds of problems have people been experiencing with the greddy TT? Looking at the price, I think I'm going to to just go with the greddy, unless it has some god awful problems.

^ no it's not
how is it better?
does compustar tell you voltage?

all it does is count down just like any other tt. compustar = any tt.

now, is it better than our alarm?
i'm sure it is.

I'm referring to the total package... why spend the money on a TT when you can put the money TOWARDS a compustar... and as for voltage... whoopedy-do... buy a cheap volt-meter... or I can just "borrow" one from work.
