Which tire sizes work for stock rims

well thats understandable. but i wouldnt even think there'd be a visible difference between the two as far as width is concerned so certainly its not an appearence thing.
really though, 225's are still skinny little tires. but there is a hell of lot more tires to choose from in that size.
215 seems more popular for 17 inchers.

actually i did see a little bit of size difference. i feel like theres less wheel gap and def can notice the tires being a little wider if you look from the back...

these are the ones i got (all-season)

w.......ppl keep sayin that our cars came with 215/45 but mine came with 215/40 factory tires......

Well, that's not totally "impossible" but "extremely" unlikely that your car was so special that it had the wrong spec tire on it, unless you bought your Speed6 used....?

My '07 US Federal market came with the "as specified in all the sales brochures and road tests" 215/45x18 Bridgestone R050A Potenzas. I read every test on them and all the reports world-wide spec'd the 215/45x18 tire....?

If your car came with 215/40x18s, then your spedometer would read "way" faster than actual as well.

i thought pirellis were the stock tires for ms6? maybe its diff for 07 then it is for 06????(uhm)

The regular 6 had a wheel size that came with Pirelli PZero Nero M&S Pinna's. I believe it was the 18" wheels.

then why the **** did my car come with Pirelli PZero Nero. ****** mazda told me they were factory tires never changed?

damn i got ****** over.. oh well new tires for me

I read somewhere that no tire expert would recommend a 40 series tire on a 7 inch wide wheel- that it would have to be at least 7.5 and the MS6 stock wheel is 7". Have you noticed any problem with yours?

Actually the stock wheels are 7.5"
