MAZDA, PROTEGE ES
Newbie here i have an 03 Protege ES (Red Mica) and i want to lower it but i don't want a bumpy ride that coilovers have. After searching on the forum i see all the hype about SPOOL springs. Right now i have a couple choices i'm looking at. They are Eibachs, Sprints, TEIN, SPool, and progress group springs. I'm don't want to spend over an arm and a leg either. Any opinions/fact are needed. THANKS-----the new guy!

Go Spools, Terry tested them all besides the TEIN's I believe and spools gave a nice drop while maintaining ride quality. Plus, come on....support the home team!
Cheers,
Moose

TEIN do sound good for the price, but whats the ride like? And does anyone have a set of progress springs on there cars, i would like to know how the ride is with those also before i decide. Thanks for the replies.

I have never read of anyone on here with progress springs..and as for the teins...I will be getting a set..from what I have read...people find the handling improved..and the ride is not to bouncy...also I think they look very good

I found the Teins on groupbuycenter.com for $175 shipped. I thought that was a very decent price and that's why I'll be buying them The Link

I have Progress springs on my P5 and I am very happy with them, the handling is amazing and I can't say I really notice any comprimise in ride quality (just adds to the 'stuck to the road feel' that impresses all my passengers).:)

Actually, the camber remains perfect, one thing I did need pretty bad was a wheel alignment, for which I needed to ask around a few places to find somewhere that would even touch my car once it'd been lowered (like I've sinned somehow).
