Alright, Im ready to invest around 150$ into a radar detector But im stuck between these 2.

PNI Silver Bullet 7600

Whistler Pro-73

This site seems like a great review site for detectors so Im going by them. Anyway they gave the PNI silver bullet a 5 star rating and the whistler a 4 1/2. But in the field test http://www.radar-detectors.com/support/product-tests/2.asp the whistler beat out the silver bullet in every test. But then "radar roy" has the silver bullet listed as the best radar detector for under 200$
So im pretty confused as to which is better. So if any of you have some infor or have had some experience with these let me know! Thanks

i bought a used bel 980 off a forum member for $120...it's the s***...i'd save up for the bel 985 if i were you.

do you think those can be shipped to canada =)

i know its legal for you guys in some states, but its not here. any chance of it passing through customs ?

yeah im in canada, i got my cobra 9150 or 9250 or whatever from the US off ebay they shipped thru USPS so my charges were 7 dollars, if you go thru UPS they will charge you 70 dollars

but did customs know it was a radar detector ? or do they open boxes or something cuz if they find out its a radar detector they might confiscate it

yeah customs opened it, thats why they charged me LOL, and yeah instead of bomb put

Fresh Fecees (Medical Sample) and spay it with something stinky

What the hell is "pop" radars? Is that an "instant on" radar or something? I don't know enough about Whistler radar detectors to give a good honest answer. I have used an Escort in the past and replaced it with a Bel. I haven't used either in so long because traffic here sucks and you can't go much faster than the person in front of you.

The only ones worth buying are the V1, 8500, or Bel 980+

Otherwise you are wasting your money. I used to work for Best Buy and sell them, the cheap ones simply CANNOT compete with the better ones. The good ones are $300 for a reason. Range, less false alarms.

I have a used Escort 8500 I'm willing to part with. I have everything for it, including a hardwire kit. Saved my butt many times. But a RD doesn't make you invincible. If you are the only car on the road, you're screwed.

they opened it, charged you but let you get something you're not supposed to use on our roads ? lol

unless laws are different in alberta than here in quebec
