Where to get rotas w/ a polished lip that fit our cars

Hi,

I plan on purchasing a set of rotas in the next month. I want to get a set of 17" attacks in bronze or gunmetal with a polished/machined lip. I searched but couldn't find anywhere that sold them with a polished lip. Also, I read about special machining involved in the center part in order to fit our cars. First of all is this true? Secondly, who sells them already machined, or who does this? If special machining wasn't needed in order to fit on our cars I guess I could find rotas easier. Thanks

There's a member on here name Rishie, his screen name is ARD MP5. He's awesome to deal with and he knows people from Rota and sells the already forged rims. Although I'm not sure if he has any from that batch left.

Sadly my friend, the Attacks do not come with a polished lip. It would really be an interesting look though.

Well if they don't make the attacks w/a polished lip then maybe I'll just go with the subzeros. I really want the polished lip. Does anyone else sell rotas that fit our car except rishie? I emailed him a couple days ago but haven't heard back yet, I figured he's busy and wouldn't get back to me for awhile.

the only rota's i know with a trick polished lip are the Rota Grid's. They are sweet... especially the Royal Gunmetal colour.

too bad they only come in a max size of 16" inch ..

Rishie and the rest of the ARD guys are tops! I bought my Sub-Zeros(w/a polished lip) from those guys. I say keep trying Rishie! He'll treat you right, and he'll probably even grind 'em for you at the shop..

No, I didn't. Rishie gave my rims a little love before I bought 'em.

I AHD A SET OF ROTA STAGE 5 WHEELS AND HAD THEM A WEEK AND THE CLEAR COAT ON THE POLISHED LIP STARTED TO PEEL, THE PEOPLE I ORDERED THEM FROM GAVE ME THE RUN AROUND BUT I EVENTUALLY GOT A NEW SET AND SOLD THEM, SO I WOULDNT GET THE ROTA. JUST MY EXAMPLE

well i got a set of rota slipstreams 16"x7" 42mm offset but I don't have tires on them and haven't test fitted them on my MSP. so just wanna make sure they'd fit....i guess i'll have to go out and try.

Actually, in regards to the polished lip. I faintly remember one of Rishies reps mentioning that he could mirror polish a lip onto any wheel. I think it's definately worth looking into. I say give Rishie a call since you're thinking about buying some Rota's anyway and ask him if it is possible at all. Of course, just like anything custom, it will cost you. I've seen some custom wheel jobs reach close to $500 a set on top of the price of the wheels themselves.

Yeah, but that's only the sub-zeros, I think.
